From Marrakech’s lively medina to the tranquil palm valleys of the south, from towering gorges to camel rides at sunset, every day reveals a new layer of Morocco’s rich culture and natural beauty. Designed for travelers seeking a deep and diverse experience, this tour captures the essence of Morocco in one extraordinary route.
Day 1 : Agadir - Agadir
Your journey begins in the calm, sunny city of Agadir. After meeting your driver/guide, you’ll head to your hotel near the beach. The day is relaxed: walk along the long seaside promenade, listen to the waves, and enjoy fresh seafood.
In the evening, travel up to Kasbah Oufella, where you can watch the sun melt into the Atlantic and get your first panoramic view of the city.
Day 2 : Agadir - Taroudant - Taliouine
Leaving the coast, the landscapes shift from ocean blue to the warm colors of the Anti-Atlas mountains.
Your first major stop is Taroudant, a peaceful, traditional city surrounded by mighty adobe walls. Explore narrow souks full of spices, crafts, and silver jewelry.
Then continue toward Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital. The scent of saffron fills the air, and depending on the season, you might even see purple saffron flowers in the fields.
Day 3 : Taliouine - Taznakht - Ait Ben Haddou
In Taznakht, you stop in a village known for its handwoven Berber carpets. You’ll meet artisans who still work with natural dyes and ancient weaving techniques.
By afternoon, you reach Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs. Walk through its clay alleys, climb to its hilltop viewpoint, and admire the golden glow as the sun sets over the desert village.
Day 4 : Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Skoura Oasis
A short drive brings you to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” If you wish, explore the famous film studios where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed.
Then continue to Skoura, a peaceful oasis filled with palm trees, mud-brick kasbahs, and irrigation canals. Visit Kasbah Amridil, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in the region — it feels like stepping into a postcard.
Enjoy a calm evening surrounded by nature.
Day 5 : Skoura - Dades Valley
Today you follow the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, dotted with ancient fortresses. As you enter the Dades Valley, the scenery becomes dramatic — red cliffs, twisted rock formations, and villages clinging to the mountainside.
Explore the Dades Gorges, famous for their “monkey fingers” rock formations and winding roads. The air is fresh, and the landscapes are unforgettable.
Day 6 : Dades - Todra Gorge - Erg Chebbi Merzouga
Your morning begins with a short drive to Todra Gorge. The canyon walls rise 300 meters above you, narrow and majestic. Walk between them and feel the cool breeze of the river flowing through the stone corridor.
Afterward, you cross a series of small Berber villages until you reach Erfoud, the fossil capital of Morocco. You can visit workshops where million-year-old fossils are cut, polished, and displayed like art.
The landscape becomes increasingly desert-like as you approach Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara.
In the afternoon, mount your camel and begin your trek into the towering golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. The silence of the desert surrounds you, and the sunset paints the sand in orange and red.
Arrive at your desert camp, enjoy traditional mint tea, music around the fire, and a night under millions of stars.
Day 7 : Full Day in the Merzouga Region
Spend a full day exploring life around the desert.
-
Visit Khamlia village for a performance of traditional Gnawa music
-
Drive to visit nomad families living in desert tents
-
Explore the palm groves and irrigation systems of Hassilabied oasis
-
Try optional adventures: quad biking, 4×4 dunes tour, or sandboarding
Watch the sunset again from the dunes — each day the colors are different.
Day 8 : Merzouga - Rissani - Agdz
After breakfast, depart the desert and visit Rissani, a lively town known for its traditional market and the birthplace of Morocco’s Alaouite dynasty.
Continue your journey through wide open plains and black volcanic rock landscapes until you reach Agdz, a quiet town at the entrance of the Draa Valley. Palm trees stretch for miles in one of Morocco’s largest oases.
Day 9 : Agdz - Taliouine - Agadir
Today you return toward Agadir, driving through beautiful Anti-Atlas mountain views and Berber villages.
Stop again in Taliouine if you’d like to buy saffron directly from local cooperatives.
Arrive in Agadir by late afternoon, just in time for one last walk along the beach.
Day 10 : Agadir (Free Day / Departure)
Enjoy a slow morning in Agadir. Relax at the beach, visit the souk for souvenirs, or enjoy a Moroccan hammam.
